Site assets

The Port of Evry offers excellent multimodal services,

  • logistics parks nearby,
  • available land,
  • large facilities: 390 linear metres of quays, a heavy-parcel facility linked in to a large-convoy route, an 11-metre RO-RO ramp with a reinforced quayside for a mobile crane, a public quay.

A dynamic environment

25km from Paris, Evry is a fast-growing platform, thanks to a dense and dynamic business environment.
Located at the intersection between the Francilienne motorway and the river, a large number of logistics zones have been created around the new towns of Evry and Sénart. The area also offers interesting potential for a multimodal platform equipped with a container terminal.

5 modes of transport

  • Waterway: self-propelled or towed barges in convoys of 250 to 3,600 tonnes.
  • Maritime: by river-sea coaster up to 1,000 tonnes DW.
  • Rail: rail link to the Paris-South of France freight line.
  • Road: direct access to the Francilienne motorway (near a junction, road currently being widened). Immediate vicinity of the A6 motorway and the N7.
  • Air: 12km from Orly International Airport, 20 minutes from Roissy.

Site projects and development

Last year, the Autonomous Port of Paris announced a project to build a container platform in the Port of Evry (Essonne) with a storage area of 5,600m², and issued a call for tenders to find an operator.
The selected bid was from a grouping of three companies: SCAT (waterway transport), SHGT (port facility operator and forwarding agent) and MANUPORT (Belgian company specialised in handling for waterway transport), who will be creating a joint venture: Evry Terminal. A contract is currently being prepared, and discussions are underway with the PAP on the work required on the quay and storage area for the activity.
The future Evry terminal will be operated with a backward-tilt reach-stacker - a compact system that is perfectly suited to this type of platform
