The Port of Limay is particularly well equipped, with:

A dynamic environment

On the Paris-Rouen-Le Havre route, the Port of Limay is today the premier river-sea port in Ile-de-France and the largest platform in the western part of the region.
Some twenty companies are based here, with storage and distribution activities in the metals, automotive, cereals and pulp paper sectors... plus the environment (recycling, waste sorting, processing...). 166 jobs have been created directly by the arrival of these "green" companies on the Limay site, for an investment of some €122 million.
Since 2007, the platform has also had a waterway container terminal operated by Limay Terminal.

6 modes of transport

The multimodal capacities of the port offer clients a high level of flexibility, and the competitive solutions they need for the future.
Logistics:

  • Road: direct link to the A13 motorway for Paris, Rouen, Le Havre. Roads on the port site equipped for heavy and wide loads. HGV parking area with full facilities.
  • River and maritime: towed convoys from 3 to 5,000 t. River and sea coasters from 600 to 2,000 tonnes DW. Container terminal.
  • Rail: direct link to the Paris-Mantes line (connecting with Paris-Le Havre). 7km of railway lines and classification yards on the site. Can handle full trains of 1,300 t.
  • Air: there is a helicopter landing and take-off area for direct transfers of port users and their clients to the airports and heliports of Ile-de-France.

Public transport access:

  • SNCF passenger train station in Limay. Buses between the port zone and the stations of Mantes and Limay.

Site projects and development

The 5,000 m², 50 metre-long container terminal has a current waterway traffic capacity of 10,000 TE. 3 hectares of land are reserved for the future extension of the container terminal, to provide additional waterway traffic capacity of 30,000 TE.
