Site assets
Located in the north of Ile-de-France, 45 minutes from Paris, the Port of Bruyères-sur-Oise is the future gateway to and from the major ports of Northern Europe. 40 hectares of land acquired recently have made it the PAP's 4th-largest platform and are a sign of the strong interest in the area.
- a 3-hectare container terminal for waterway traffic capacity of 40,000 TE
- rail connection
- a strategic location in the heart of the dynamic northern Ile de France area, near the Plaine de France (Roissy) and southern Picardy
- high-performance facilities: 4,500m² public quay with direct access, 600 linear metres of fully-equipped quays
- almost 30,000m² of warehouses
A dynamic environment
The dynamic 140-hectare zone nearby (400,000m² of logistics warehouses in the future), development of the container terminal, and the large areas of land available by the waterside with up to 25,000m² for building, make this zone particularly attractive for activities using containers.
The Bruyères-sur-Oise platform has benefited from some recent developments: renovation of the edges of the site, landscaping in line with Méridienne Verte requirements…
4 modes of transport
Bruyères-sur-Oise is connected in to the main river routes and major European ports. Its quays are easily accessible to all companies wishing to benefit from the competitive solutions offered by waterway transport.
Logistics
- Road: easily accessible by road for large tonnages, with all the necessary road links: fast road connections into Paris or to the cities of northern France via the A16 (Beauvais, Amiens, Calais), the N1 (Beauvais - Paris) road, the N322 or the N184 to Pontoise, and finally the D922 to the A1 motorway (via the Survilliers junction, 25 km away).
- Waterway and river-sea: the Port of Bruyères-sur-Oise stretches along the river over a distance of 600 metres equipped with quays. Self-propelled barges and river-sea vessels up to 1,200 tonnes. Access for towed convoys up to 3,200 tonnes. The Oise (European gauge) offers access to the North and the Seine Valley, and therefore to the rest of Europe via the future Seine-North system.
- Rail: for trains, the port has access to the Paris-Pontoise-Creil line and a 750m classification yard that can take full trains.
- Air: Roissy Airport is 35km away. The Persan-Beaumont airfield is 25km away.
Site projects and development
As part of the development of this platform, the Autonomous Port of Paris is in search of supply-chain companies or any other firms interested in operating a container terminal on the site.
The Autonomous Port of Paris therefore put out a call for tender last February, and is providing operators with a quay and a 3-hectare storage zone with a capacity of 6 tonnes/m², which will be completed by the end of 2009.
This call for tenders is being issued in collaboration with the maritime ports of Le Havre and Rouen who will be taking part in the choice of operator. This partnership is part of the PAP's policy to develop use of the Seine between Le Havre, Rouen and Paris and to develop an effective and coherent network.
The terminal may have a rail connection provided by the PAP if the operator so requires.
