A dynamic environment

Just 8km to the east of Paris, the Port of Bonneuil-sur-Marne offers the high performance levels of a multimodal hub in a top-quality environment. On a total of 186 hectares, it hosts no fewer than 150 companies, and proposes 65,000m² of warehouses and business premises, all directly owned by the port.

An 11,350m² waterway terminal handles containers, with regular scheduled services. There are three sailings a week, offering companies in the south-eastern part of the Paris region all the benefits of combined waterway transport: safety, regularity, fast response times, administrative facilities (notably for Customs procedures) and storage facilities...

4 modes of transport

Bonneuil is a genuinely multimodal hub served by four modes of transport:

  • Waterway: located on the Marne, 7km from its confluence with the Seine, the port has two docks and 4km of quays. It handles towed convoys of up to 2,500 tonnes and a regular container transport line between Le Havre-Gennevilliers-Bonneuil. 2 public quays can be used for occasional transshipments, including for heavy packages.
  • Waterway-maritime: by coasters of up to 1,200 tonnes.
  • Rail: rail facilities include an electrified classification yard accessible to full trains. 22km of lines serve almost all the plots of land on the site. A rail link operated by PROGECO proposes connecting services with major European maritime and waterway ports.
  • Road: HGV access and areas.

Site development projects

In response to its development ambitions and in line with its environmental concerns, the Port of Bonneuil-sur-Marne has adopted a medium-term Sustainable Development Plan (to 2020). A team of consultants selected by a call for offers has drawn up a reference project and has signed up to work with the port on applying the measures over a nine-year period.
A logistics facility of 14,000m² is to be built on a plot of 43,000m² of land in the southern part of the port. The aim is to respond to a wide variety of needs, in particular for multimodal rail/road and waterway/road logistics for containers. It will offer all the latest facilities and an environmentally-friendly design.
The land alongside the railway classification yard will be entirely reorganised to allow the construction of new facilities with rail and waterway access.
